Patronage of the Thames “Connector” bus service has remained steady through 2019. Compared to 2018 patronage for 2019 showed some months slightly up and some months slightly down, but overall there is little change.
There were 959 boardings in December 2019 and in the year ending 31 December 2019 there were a total of 11,607 boardings.
That’s nearly 12,000 times last year when someone in Thames was able to go shopping, visit friends, or make a medical appointment when they might otherwise have struggled to do so.
The service continues to get good feedback from customers, but there is always room for improvement. If you have any suggestions as to how the service could be improved, please let me know. I have been appointed to the “Regional Connections” committee of the Waikato Regional Council which oversees public transport. Any feedback is always valued
